Three men are facing charges in connection with the possession of stolen firearms. One of the men is also facing drug charges.

The investigation started with the alleged distribution of heroin by 25-year-old Dale Pinkham, Jr. of Buxton. A search of Dale, Jr.'s home resulted in the seizure of about 20 grams of heroin and numerous firearms in his bedroom. He was then prohibited from possessing guns due to his illegal drug use.

Agents also recovered a stolen firearm from a vehicle operated by Raymond Pinkham, age 21 on the same day. Between August and November of 2014, police say Dale Jr., Raymond, and 20-year-old Robert Pinkham, all of Buxton, acquired and possessed stolen firearms. On August 11, 2014, a search warrant at the same home turned up seven stolen firearms from Robert's bedroom.

Robert Pinkham has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess stolen firearms and possession of stolen firearms. Dale Pinkham, Jr. and Raymond Pinkham have both pleaded guilty to possessing stolen firearms. In addition, Dale Jr. pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute heroin and illegally possessing firearms while a drug user.

The men face up to five years in prison on the firearms possession charges, and a fine of up to $250,000 on each charge. Dale Jr. faces up to 20 years in prison and a $1,000,000 fine on the drug conspiracy charge. They will be sentenced at a later date.

This investigation was a collaboration between the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency; the Maine State Police; and the Office of the Maine Attorney General; with assistance from the Buxton Police Department and Cumberland and York County Sheriff's Offices.
