Three people are facing charges after an alleged shooting in Lewiston that police say involved someone getting hurt but there's no sign of the victim.

Lewiston Police say the incident happened at around 6:00 Saturday morning at 135 Bartlett Street. Investigators located evidence that suggested bullets were, in fact, fired at that location but a victim has not been found. Police say it's not clear how the person was hurt and that it may or may not involve a gunshot wound.

The following people were arrested in response to the reports of a shooting:

  • Quentaris Jerome Leonard, age 33 of Lewiston, who's charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and possession of cocaine
  • James Lewis Crump, age 41 of Dorchester, Massachusetts, who's charged with robbery, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and aggravated reckless conduct
  • Sharod William Nunes, age 39 of Lewiston, who was arrested on a previously issued warrant or arrest for aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs.

All three were taken to the Androscoggin County Jail.

Anyone who thinks they may have information about the incident is encouraged to contact the Lewiston Police Department at (207) 784-6421.
