Thomas Hill Standpipe Holiday Tour This Week

The Thomas Hill Standpipe will open for the annual Holiday Tour this week. The Standpipe will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, December 18. The event is free of charge. It should be noted the standpipe is not handicap accessible, with 100 stairs leading to the promenade deck.

The standpipe was built in 1897 and is designated as a National Historic Landmark by the Maine Historic Preservation Commission.
