I wont lie...when I was in high school, one of my main motivations for giving blood, was because I wanted to get out of study hall and get the cookie or OJ at the end. Nowadays, I'm much more mature and a lot less selfish, and understand that the Red Cross never stops needing blood. Ever.

It just so happens they're hosting a Blood Drive on February 2nd, in Mason Auditorium at Eastern Maine Medical Center from 9:00a.m. - 2:00p.m.

Now, I doubt they would turn anyone away, but they are encouraging folks to make an appointment ahead of time. By scheduling ahead, it will help save you a bunch of time when you're checking in. For more information about that process, go here.

If you want general information about the Red Cross, feel free to check out their website.

See you next Friday!
