The Q-106.5 Morning Show, will be taking over the afternoon show today, taking your donations to the Pine Tree Camp Egg Ride. Donate now!

It's a long day for us, since our workday starts between 4:30 and 5 a.m. We're usually at home, in our jammies, by 2:00 in the afternoon. But not today! We'll be back in the studio, manning (woman-ing?) the phones, and taking your calls as we build the total Egg Ride donation total and send even more kids to camp!

We have the coffee on, a supply of snacks to keep our energy level up, and we're READY to take your donations. There are several ways you can do that;

  • Call (207) 991-9500 - the pledge line will be open until 7 p.m. We'll take your name, address, and the amount of your pledge and then, after the ride, you'll receive a letter telling you where to send your donation.
  • Make a Pledge online - click here to make your pledge online. It works the same way as when you call in. Give us your information and you'll get a letter telling you where to send that donation.
  • Make an Instant Donation with your Credit Card - click here to use your credit card to make a donation on our secure FirstGiving site.
  • Stop By Danforth's - Erik Owens and Amanda McDonald will be hanging out at Danforth's Down Home Supermarket in Hermon this afternoon between 2 and 6, so you can make a donation in person. Danforth's is right on Route 2.

It's called the 'Egg Ride' because, for each $50 in total pledges that we receive, each of our riders puts a raw egg in their snowsuits and rides a snowmobile from the Hungry Hollows 76ers Snowmobile Club in Levant, to the Newport Armory. It's another 'off year' for snowfall, so the sleds will be on flatbeds for the journey. But the eggs will be carried and it will be a huge mess, as you can see from the picture of last year's ride!

Every penny raised goes to the Pine Tree Camp for Children and Adults with Disabilities, located in Rome, Maine. The camp has a no-child-turned-away policy, so if the parents can't afford the full tuition, the rest is covered by donations, like the ones made by you to the Egg Ride.

THANK YOU, to everyone who's already donated and, in advance, to all who WILL donate. We appreciate and so do the folks at the Pine Tree Camp!
