Last week marked the closing of applying for an any-deer permit via a paper entry, but you can still apply online! Hurry though, the deadline is fast approaching.

Hunters looking to apply for an any-deer permit need to get to typing! The deadline for online applications is coming up on August 15. An any-deer permit allows the permittee to hunt antlerless deer, or bucks with antlers less than three inches in length.

There's no fee to apply for an any-deer permit. To apply, visit Maine.Gov.

The drawing will be held September 8.

The winners will be posted here. If you're selected you need to write down your corresponding any-deer permit number. It's suggested you keep that number with your hunting license so it's readily available when needed at a tagging station. The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife no longer mails transportation tags or physical any-deer permits.

If you're awarded a bonus deer permit you need to pay the $12 permit fee by mail or in person before receiving your bonus permit.

Online applications must be completed by 11:59PM August 15.

Good luck!
