Finally! A break for Americans across our great nation. Recent reports state that gas and home heating oil prices may drop considerably over the next few weeks. Why?

You may or may not now that there is an oil boom going on in the mid-west. That's right, less dependence on middle eastern oil means savings in our pocket. Apparently we've been sitting on vast reserves for quite some time now. It's kind of like growing your own food or brewing your own beer. You can save a lot of money by doing both. And what about gas?

According to gasbuddy.com some states are already under $3.00 per gallon. Experts say  that due to the lack of disastrous hurricanes and subsequent gasoline shortages, pump prices just may average $3.05 per gallon by Christmas. I just may have to reconsider that 3/4 ton GMC truck I've had my heart set on since the first of the year.
