Teenager’s Body Found In Orono Snowbank

Police have released the identity of a young woman whose body was found in an Orono snowbank.

Alexie Adams, 19, of Orono was found dead in a snowbank along Colburn Drive just before 11 a.m. on Saturday. A passerby noticed the body and called 911.

Police say it appears, at this point, that Alexie had been spending the evening with friends Friday night and had visited several different locations around the area. At some point, she became separated from her friends.

Police are still working on what led up to Alexie's death, but say foul play is not suspected. They do, however, believe that alcohol was involved. An autopsy will be performed at the office of the State Medical Examiner to determine cause of death.
