Team Maggie Afternoon Update Day 9

Lots to cheer about today! After 7 tough days, there was great news this morning, and the news seems to just be getting better! From Mom Lauren

Today has been a good day! Not only was Maggie's bilirubin down but her lab report shows that she has some monocytes..these are basically baby white blood cells that will turn into neutrophils!

The doctor said that while her mouth is still full of sores and she still has all the mucous that it looks a little better today which is a sign that something is definitely happening with her bone marrow because typically the white cells will first go to those areas and try to heal them! Maggie has such a long way to go and this doesn't mean that things are perfect but it is such a huge step!! It could still be a few days before we see any true white blood cells but that's ok!

She got platelets just now and has been up all day! She is currently out of bed watching her iPad on the couch..first time she has been out of bed since last weekend!

Please keep praying. Pray for a peaceful Friday night. Pray for a sense of calmness for Maggie and Lauren. Pray that they have a good day. Pray for healing.
