Taylor Swift may or may not be romantically linked to One Direction's Harry Styles, but that doesn't mean that the country music superstar can't spend her birthday with her favorite British boyband member.

According multiple sources (and photographic proof), the now-23-year-old singer spent her birthday week in rural northern England, enjoying the sights and sounds with Styles by her side the entire time.

"She was polite and pleasant -- fantastic," says Sarah Walker, manager of the Rising Sun Pub in Hope Valley, which is about 170 miles north of London (quote via People). "She is just having a nice tour of England. They were like any typical group of people having dinner. Everyone thinks they are a couple, but to be honest, we had no sense of that at all."

Swift and Styles dined at the Peak District eatery Tuesday evening (Dec. 11), with two friends joining the pair for a traditional English cuisine. Onlookers overheard Swift gushing about how much she "loved" being in Britain, and that she was "excited about her birthday."

Swift continued her celebration with a stroll through the Lake District on Wednesday. The two famous musicians -- with Styles' mother not far behind --stopped into the World of Beatrix Potter to visit the store. The country cutie bought some soft toys, coming off as "nice and charming" to the store workers.

"They were dancing around to the seasonal music being played. Harry was being the most boisterous," People reports. "They didn’t give any impromptu concert, no!"

Swift's fairytale trip across the pond is much deserved, considering the singer's recent hectic schedule in promotion of her latest album, 'Red.' Aside from her appearance during this year's 'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve,' the superstar is expected to keep a rather low profile until the launch of her 2013 Red headlining Tour in March.
