One of the very first stars I had the opportunity to get to talk to when I was at CRS in Nashville was Tate Stevens. As this was my first time at CRS, I was like a kid in a candy store, but for Tate Stevens, his first CRS after winning Season 2 of The X Factor and preparing to release his first album just months after winning, the candy store must have seemed a whole lot bigger!

Early 2012, Tate Stevens was working on a road crew in his home town of Belton, Missouri when he decided, with the support of his family, it was time to pursue his dream of becoming a country star, so in a nut shell, here's how the year went: Audition in early 2012, make it through, compete in a grueling competition all summer, sing with Little Big Town, win the X Factor on December 20th, star in a Pepsi commercial, move to Nashville, record a complete album, release the first single 'Power Of a Love Song' on March 12th, Release debut album, the self titled 'Tate Stevens' on Tuesday April, 23rd...and now will be heading out on the road this summer with Alan Jackson...PHEW! If this is how Tate Stevens works, there's no doubt we'll be seeing and hearing from him for a long time to come! He'll join me this morning on the Q-106.5 Morning Show later this morning, and if you happen to miss the interview, we'll post it here later! Now enjoy Tate's first country video 'Power Of a Love Song'
