Currington hails form the land of Rincon, Georgia. His musical talents actually came to the surface when he was just a boy. One of his songs released in 2003, 'Walk a Little Straighter,' had a beginning at the age of twelve, when he created the chorus. A bit on the sad side, as it was a song about his alcoholic dad. But it was a beginning of his dream to move to Nashville to hammer out a career in the business.

After landing in Nashville, Currington worked for a concrete plant all while hitting the clubs performing at night whenever the opportunity arose. And when singer, Mark Wills, put a hold on one of Currington's songs, it opened a door to work with producer, Carson Chamberlain, which in turn led to a recording contract with Mercury Records---and doors continued to open.

To date, Currington has had ten pretty solid hits: “Pretty Good At Drinkin’ Beer,” “That’s How Country Boys Roll,” “People Are Crazy,” ”Don’t,” “Must Be Doin’ Somethin’ Right” and “Good Directions.” Six of them hit the number one spot.

The Taste of Country Music Festival at Hunter Mountain, Hunter, New York, is going to be a country fans dream come true. Remember to visit the website for all the info, and for goodness sake get your tickets!
