Swanville Man Recognized for Rescue

A Swanville man has been recognized by local authorities for saving the life of a neighbor. Daniel Littlefield, 46 of Swanville, heard that Thomas Benner (48) got pinned under a tractor trailer he was working on nearby Sunday afternoon. Littlefield hopped in his wrecker and headed over, using it to lift enough weight off Benner to allow his family to pull him out.

Benner is said to be recovering. Littlefield was presented with a challenge coin by the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office.
