Police are investigating an early morning shooting that left two people in serious condition. The suspects were last seen running away from the scene, which is reported to have been at a recording studio.

According to Portland Police, the shooting happened just before midnight in the recording studios for Da Block Records, an independent record label, at 371 Fore Street. Two people were shot in the incident and taken to Maine Medical Center, where they're listed in serious condition.

Detectives are interviewing witnesses and are the investigation is ongoing. They're not releasing the victims names until their families have been notified.

While there are no descriptions of the suspects, witnesses say they were seen fleeing up Market Street, toward Milk Street after the shooting. Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or who has information about these shootings is encouraged to call the Portland Police Department at 874-8533.
