Suspected Car Burglar Arrested In Skowhegan

A Skowhegan man was arrested after police say a woman caught him trying to burglarize her car.

25-year-old Jordan Holmes is charged with burglary of a motor vehicle, theft and violation of conditional release.

Police received a call on Monday from a woman who said she caught a man attempting to burglarize her car on High Street.

Police say surveillance cameras from an area business helped them identify the suspect as Holmes, who is subject to bail conditions from prior arrests.

Police went to the suspect's house to conduct a bail check and officers say they found items that were stolen from a car on Hilltop Drive.
