Recently, the folks at Irving Oil asked their New England customers where in New England would they "most likely visit in the last remaining weeks of this summer."  Three popular Maine destinations are on the list!

Maybe during a visit to an Irving Oil Circle K convenience store you filled out one of those "Pump Up the Fun Summer Surveys."  It listed ten destinations within New England and asked people which ones they'd more than likely visit between August and Labor Day. A bunch of people responded to the survey and now the results are in!

34% of the respondents said Cape Cod, which came in as the #1 destination.

  1. Cape Cod Beaches, MA
  2. Mystic, CT
  3. Newport, RI
  4. Lake Winnipesaukee, NH
  5. White Mountains, NH
  6. Block Island, RI
  7. Nantucket, MA
  8. Acadia National Park, ME
  9. Lake Champlain, Burlington, VT
  10. Smuggler’s Notch, Stowe, VT

The survey also polled New Englanders on what summer events they were most likely to attend - they had to choose just one, and here are the results:
