Singer Steve Azar will be in Maine this week, putting on a benefit concert. Proceeds from the concert will benefit an organization that works to help victims of human trafficking who have been rescued.

Steve Azar, whose song 'I Don't Have to be Me til Monday' has become a weekend-celebrating anthem, will perform on Wednesday, March 18th at the Performing Arts Center in Westbrook. Azar has written and recorded a song 'The Sky is Falling (Patti Jo's Prayer),' that addresses the issue of human trafficking. Featured in the song is singer Sophie Young, who will also be in Westbrook. In addition, there will comedy from 'Maine's Funniest Mom' Karen Morgan, North of Nashville, and the 70's funk of 'Motor Booty Affair. Sounds like a fun evening!

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Saint Andre Home, the only home in Maine dedicated to serving those who have been rescued. The organization's website says it has been serving the needs of women and children and strengthening families for over 75 years.  It's $20 to get in and you can buy tickets online.

At the end of the video, there is a link to an organization called Not Here. The Not Here Justice in Action Network is a grassroots effort to stop human trafficking. I encourage you to go to their website and learn more about this tragic issue that affects children in all states.
