Spending the Weekend With Dogs, Including a State Police K-9 That Surprised Us All! [VIDEO]

Anyone who knows me will tell you that my favorite place to be is anywhere with dogs. And, over the weekend, I got my wish at the Ellsworth Family Veterinary Clinic's open house Paw-ty. There were lots of dogs, and kids, and a beautiful State Police K-9 who surprised everyone!

The day was full of people who enjoy animals. There were dogs of all sizes, from a Whippet, to a mother-and-son Newfoundland team! Even the bounce house had a Scooby Doo theme.

But my favorite part of the day was the State Police K-9 Demonstration. I love watching these beautiful and intelligent animals at work. They're so sweet and lovable just before attacking a guy wearing a Kevlar sleeve so ferociously that it would scare anyone straight!

Dracco didn't disappoint. A beautiful mostly-black German Shepherd that was focused and professional...most of the time. But, hey, dogs will be dogs, and sometimes the job just has to wait. Check out the video to see what I'm talking about!
