When I read this recipe today on Yahoo! I had to laugh. I've been making this recipe for years! Well, okay, it's not exactly the same....but pretty close! Keep this recipe handy for when you need a quick and tasty side dish. You'll love it!

The recipe calls for butter, Parmesan cheese, and pepper. That's it! The pasta is coated with a creamy and flavorful butter sauce that just melts in your mouth.

My youngest son has always loved this recipe. Or rather, my version of it. I never thought of melting the butter in a pan with some of the pasta water to make it creamier. And I used prepared Parmesan instead of fresh.

The first time I made this was out of pure necessity.  My kids were all very young and I was pretty close to broke. At home alone with the youngsters and without a car, I had to get creative. A check of the supplies turned up spaghetti, butter, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. So I cooked the pasta, drained it, tossed it with the rest of the ingredients until the butter melted. Yummy!  It's amazing what you can come up with when faced with hungry 2 and 3 year old kids.

Now, Chef Fabio has come out with a slightly more complicated version of this recipe. It adds an extra step, but I'm sure it's much creamier than mine. Click here for Chef Fabio's version of Three Ingredient Spaghetti. And next time you're craving something delicious, whip some up!
