You're invited to join friends and family of local musician Larry Bennett, Jr. this Saturday for    spaghetti lunch, silent auction, and lots of live music! Larry passed away of a heart attack while battling Esophageal cancer in December. Proceeds from the fundraiser on Saturday will help Larry's family pay his medical expenses.

The day will kick off with a spaghetti lunch at 11:30, with Desperado providing the music til 12:30. Larry started the band Desperado back in 1983, so it's cool that they're opening the day!

The band Ranger will play from 12:45 to 1:45. Then, from 1:45 to 2ish, there will be a balloon release! You're invited to release a balloon in honor of someone in your life who's been affected by cancer. And then the band Overdrive will take over until 3. And the day's musical entertainment will wrap up with the band Runner Up from 3:15 til 4:15. Obviously these times are approximate, as the day progresses.

The festivities will wrap up with a silent and live auction and they have some very cool items up for bid, including a guitar/clock that features the band Desperado!

All the fun takes place Saturday, June 15th at Walton's Campground, 211 Riverside Drive, in Eddington beginning at 11:00am. If you'd like more information or you'd like to make a donation to the auction, you can call Debbie at 460-9104 or Lisa at 974-6241. To reserve a spot at Walton's Campground, call 944-8100. And if you can't make it, but you'd still like to donate, you can do that online by clicking here.

Larry was self-employed at the time of his death, so there was no health or life insurance to help cover the medical expenses. Any help that you could give would be greatly appreciated by the family. Stop by Saturday, have a plate of spaghetti, and enjoy a fun afternoon in Eddington!
