Son Of Maine Day Care Operator Charged With Possession Of Child Pornography

The son of a woman who runs a Buxton day care center has been charged with possession of child pornography, according to Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland.

27-year-old Peter Blanchette lives with his mother, who operates Country Corner Kidz Childcare out of their home on Long Plains Road.

McCausland says some of the children who go to the day care center were present when police arrived at the home Monday morning.

Investigators say there's no indication the mother knew her son was in possession of child pornography.

Blanchette's computer will now be analyzed to determine if any of the victim's are from Maine or attended the day care.
