A man and woman from Solon have been charged with arson after police say the woman paid the man to set her minivan on fire so she could collect the insurance money.

Jennifer Sandoval, 30, and Anthony Salisbury, 24, were also charged with conspiracy to commit arson and insurance fraud, police said in a news release Tuesday.

Salisbury set fire to Sandoval's 2002 Dodge Caravan July 24 on Brighton Road in Bingham, according to the release.

Police said Sandoval paid Salisbury $300 and Sandoval received $2,200 from the insurance company.

Sandoval was arrested Friday, while Salisbury was taken into custody Tuesday.

The two were being held Tuesday at the Somerset County Jail.
