Police a tractor-trailer and a state plow truck were involved in a crash on Interstate 95 in Etna Monday afternoon. Both drivers escaped injury.

The tractor-trailer, driven by Rodney P. Rioux, 66, from New Canada was traveling northbound at about when he attempted to overtake the state plow truck driven by Alfred Washburn, 51, from Hartland.

The tractor trailer struck the Department of Transportation plow truck causing it to spin out of control, according to police. The plow truck went off the road and rolled onto its side. The tractor trailer went off into the median and struck the ledge. The two vehicles will stay there tonight and removal will take place Tuesday.

Meanwhile in Montecello, state police say a Houlton woman lost control of her 2003 Toyota on slippery roads while attempting to pass a tractor-trailer on Route 1.

Christiana Marcus, 19, was not injured in the crash, which occurred at about 11:30 a.m.. Her vehicle struck the snowbank causing it to roll over and come to rest on its roof.

State Police also covered several other crashes, and remind motorists to travel with caution during inclement weather. Speed limits have been reduced on many sections of Interstate 95 because of slippery conditions.
