Skeletal remains found in the woods in Manchester over the weekend have been tentatively identified. Police have not released the man's name, but a Virginia driver's license was found with the body.

As is often the case this time of year, hunters found the remains in the woods Saturday morning in Manchester. The body was found about 200 yards off the Puddledock Road and had likely been there for over a year.

Today, Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland said, in a press release, that foul play is not suspected. A Virginia driver's license was found with the body and Maine police have asked Virginia authorities to attempt to locate and notify the man's relatives. Once the relatives have been notified and his identification confirmed, police will attempt to retrace the man's steps and determine why he was in Maine.
