Senator Susan Collins Breaks Her Ankle After Slipping On The Ice

Senator Susan Collins has her sense of humor intact after slipping on the ice and breaking her ankle in Bangor.

The Senator took a nasty spill at her Bangor home this week and broke her ankle in two places. She was taken to St. Joseph Hospital, and underwent surgery to repair the damage. In a post on her Facebook page, she gives credit to Dr. Jacob Brooks and his team for putting her on the road to recovery.

That post also showed that Collins' sense of humor wasn't damaged in the fall. She states that "Due to a slip on the ice, both Rob Gronokowski and I will be on Injured Reserve for the playoffs."
