Semi Hauling Delimber Smashes Into I-95 Overpass

A tractor-trailer truck hauling a delimber crashed into an I-95 overpass in Aroostook County on Wednesday.

It happened on Oakfield-Smyrna Road in Oakfield.

Police say the delimber struck the overpass because the delimber was too high.

The driver of the truck, 58-year-old Gary Theriault of Fort Kent, was not hurt in the accident.

Police said one of the northbound lanes of I-95 would remain closed until damage to the overpass could be assessed.
