The Seeds of Hope Food Pantry is reaching out to the community for help after fire ripped through its only donation van. Since storage is limited at the pantry's Outer Ohio Street facility, many of the donations were kept inside that van, and were lost when it went up in flames.

The truck caught fire when it was parked last week. No one was hurt and no buildings sustained damage. But a day's worth of donations were lost, in addition to the pantry's only means of collecting those donations.

Director Isaac Mann is hoping the community will show some support. Food drives to fill the shelves once again would be greatly appreciated. For more information, visit the Seeds of Hope Food Pantry's Facebook page.

And, along with the non-perishable food items, one more prayer is being sent up...for a new pantry truck. According to the pantry's Facebook page, they're looking for a diesel, fairly new, low mileage (less than 100,000 miles), roughly the same size but dock height, with a refrigerated box.
