For the second time in the past two weeks, a threatening message was found in a girl's bathroom at Katahdin Elementary School in Stacyville.

School officials reported the threat to state police at 9:05 a.m. after the message was discovered by a student.

Both the elementary school and Katahdin Middle/High School were evacuated.

Students were allowed to return after police, assisted by an explosive detection K-9, searched the school and determined there was no bomb inside.

Police responded to the elementary school Oct. 12 after a threatening message, also located in a girl's bathroom, was discovered just before the end of the school day.

The two bomb threats remain under investigation.
