The search for a Maine Maritime Academy student, missing since Friday, is now considered a recovery mission.

Tuesday's search for David Breunig centered in and around the Penobscot River. Bruenig was last seen leaving a party in Orono's Crosby Street neighborhood at around 11:30 Friday night. It's believed he may have tried crossing the trestle bridge.

A Warden Service helicopter was brought in this week and police K-9 units scoured the banks of the river.  Divers dealt with frigid water as they searched the Penobscot. But, so far, there's no sign of Breunig.

According to WLBZ-TV, the search for the 21-year-old is now considered a recovery mission. The search was suspended due to bad weather today, but will resume once conditions improve.

Anyone with information on this case is urged to call the Penobscot County Communications Center at 945-4636.
