State police continue their search for a man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend in her Parkman home.

Robert Burton is charged with killing Stephanie Gebo, whose body was discovered by her children on June 5.

In a press release sent out on Monday, Maine Department of Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland said there have been no reported sightings of Burton since he was spotted by a man on a Guilford snowmobile trail Wednesday.

McCausland says the increased police presence in the area will continue this week but the searches in the woods have been scaled back.

Police are encouraging residents to remain cautious until the suspect is apprehended. Residents should lock their homes and leave an outside light on at night.

If anyone spots Burton, who is considered armed and dangerous, they should call 911 and not approach the suspect.
