The Presque Isle Police Department tells us the crash happened at 3:00 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Dudley and Academy Streets. Sgt. Mark Barnes says the bus pulled out from Dudley Street and was struck by an empty bulk body potato truck headed west down Academy.

There were only four students on the bus at the time and no one was injured.

The potato truck is owned by Irving Farms. Sgt. Barnes said the accident could have been much worse if the truck had been loaded.

No word yet on the extent of the damage to the school bus and truck.

The crash came exactly 2 years after a car drove under a school bus on Academy Street in Presque Isle.
