Drug agents have arrested a Sanford man for allegedly selling methamphetamine.

28-year-old Shane Thyng was arrested on Tuesday and charged with Class B Unlawful Trafficking in Schedule W drugs. He was apprehended as part of an investigation that MDEA officials say included several undercover purchases of meth from Thyng.

A week ago, Maine Drug Enforcement agents, along with Sanford Police and the Southern Maine Violent Offenders Task Force executed a search warrant at Thyng's Emery Street apartment. He was not home but investigators found 5.8 grams of manufactured methamphetamine. Thyng was located and taken into custody without incident. He was taken to the York County Jail where bail was set at $10,000 cash bail.
