Firefighters in Brunswick say they found eight safety violations at a Bowdoin College off-campus home known as the "Crack House."

Brunswick Fire Deputy Chief Jeff Emerson tells the Bangor Daily News they found eight violations, including illegal use of space.

Emerson says as many as six people were living in the home.

“In plain language, if you have more than four people all sharing the same kitchen but with individual bedrooms, you have a rooming and lodging house,” Emerson told the BDN.

The home on Harpswell Road was the site of a 2014 party dubbed "Cracksgiving." Following the event, the school announced it would discipline more than a dozen members of the lacrosse team for dressing up as American Indians, which was a violation of the school's social code.
