Rosie O'Donnell announced last week that she's leaving 'The View' but hasn't given an explanation on the show. This afternoon, she took to Facebook to explain her reasons in a quick video. Basically, she says her family and her health come first.

O'Donnell returned to the daytime talk show's 18th season, in part to fill a hole left by the departure of Barbara Walters. Walters retired from the show last year. Rosie is opinionated and outspoken, and is a perfect fit for the show.

But it's been a tough year for the 52-year-old comedian/actress. In November, she split from wife Michelle Rounds. The couple have five children. And then there was a health scare. Rosie explains it all in this Facebook post. Personally, I think she's doing what's best for herself and her family. Here's hoping she finds health and success in her choice!
