A man from Rockland is facing charges for possession of child pornography.

Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland says 32-year-old Jarrod Bergeron was arrested Monday morning by the State Police Computer Crimes Unit. Detectives began investigating Bergeron late last year after receiving a tip.

His home at 58 Acadia Drive in Rockland was searched on December 15th and his computers taken back to the computer crimes unit's offices in Vassalboro to be analyzed. That exam revealed 130 sexually explicit images of 37 children under the age of 12.

Bergeron, who is employed as a cook in Camden, is due in court on March 21st. Assisting in the investigation were Homeland Security and Rockland Police.
