One person was killed today when a rock fell from a vehicle and hit the windshield of the car behind it. Now, the Sheriff's Office is looking for the driver of the lead vehicle.

WABI-TV reports that the accident happened just before 3 p.m. on Route 17, near the Hope-Union line. Deputies say the driver of the car was killed while his wife, who was in the passenger seat, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Police have not released the deceased man's name.

Now, police are looking for the vehicle the rock came from and say the driver may not even realize what happened. They believe the vehicle would have been hauling rocks 6 to 8 inches in diameter.
