Police say a deadly accident in Knox County occurred when a rock fell from a truck and struck another vehicle.

The Bangor Daily News reports 73-year-old James Nash of Camden was killed in the wreck on Route 17 in Hope Tuesday afternoon. Nash’s wife was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries and shock.

Nash was driving east when the accident occurred and police believe the truck was traveling in the opposite direction when the rock smashed through Nash's windshield.

Police say they're now looking for the driver of the truck, who may not even be aware of the accident.
