I've lived in 4 different states, traveled up & down the east coast and through the Midwest, and I fell in love with some great chain restaurants that I want to see come to Maine, more specifically the Bangor area.  This restaurant came under fire in 2012 when the owner made an opinionated statement about gay marriage. But their Grilled Chicken Cool Wrap, chicken nuggets, and original sandwich are too tasty to pass up!

Ever heard of Take-And-Bake-Pizza? What a concept and it's economical for families with the tightest of budgets. This pizza place was a personal favorite of my daughter's, the girl who doesn't eat anything. You walk in and tell them what you want, they make the pizza on fresh dough right in front of you, wrap it up, and you take it home to cook it when it's convenient. Brilliant!

Jake Owen once got in trouble with police for running into this restaurant in Florida wearing a mask at 2 AM to scare some friends dining inside. It was all a big misunderstanding and police let Jake go. See the story here about Jake's oopsie back in 2012.

I know there's at least one of these restaurants at a rest area in southern Maine, but it's too far away from my house! One of the best valued meals you can order is a 2-piece snack that includes a chicken breast, a wing, and a biscuit. But it's not on the menu so you have to ask for it; your choice of mild or spicy. And if you really like flavor ask for a packet of Cajun Sparkle.

I've spent many birthdays going to this restaurant and always ordering the same thing - sirloin marsala (butterfly cut to ensure there's no pink inside), garlic mashed potatoes, and a garden salad with their house dressing. Everything they make is delicious. Just writing this makes me wanna drive to the closest location in Portland, ME. But I want one in Bangor!

I could go on, and on, and on about various restaurants from around the country that I'd love to see come to Maine. The ones listed above are just a few of my favorites.
