With the passing of Glenn Frey this week, we remember a very special Travis Tritt song and video that featured Glenn and his bandmates for an Eagles classic.

The album was called 'Common Thread:The Songs of the Eagles' and featured Country's finest paying tribute to one of the greatest bands of all time. Alan Jackson crooned 'Tequila Sunrise,' Clint Black touched our hearts with an awesome rendition of 'Desperado,' and Little Texas gave us that 'Peaceful Easy Feeling.' Those are just a few of the contributing artists.

I consider it one of the best tribute albums in Country. But maybe that's because I've always been such a fan of the music. I have the DVD somewhere at home, and I have to go find it this week to listen again.

Glenn Frey was always my favorite band member. I loved his voice, his look, and his style.  I can still remember watching his guest appearance on 'Miami Vice' many years ago. My celebrity crush started then, I think. So, I'm heartbroken to hear the news. Frey had been dealing with intestinal health problems lately, and passed away this week in New York at the age of 67. Much too young. May he rest in peace. He will certainly be missed. But the music lives on.

If you're interested, there's a wonderful documentary on Netflix called 'The History of the Eagles.' Jim and I watched it a while back and loved it. Of course, the music that runs throughout is unbeatable!
