Registration Underway For A Popular Southern Maine 10K

Registration for the Beach to Beacon 10K got underway Thursday morning.

Residents of Cape Elizabeth filled 600 slots in just under nine minutes.

Four thousand slots will be available when online registration for the general public opens at 7:00 Friday morning. Those slots filled up in about 4 minutes and 30 seconds last year.

Another 1,950 slots will be filled through a lottery that will begin immediately following the online registration.

The popular 10k road race in Cape Elizabeth takes place August 1.

It starts near Crescent Beach State Park and ends at Fort Williams Park.
