When you live in the Southern states, reptiles and the dangers of encountering one are common. Not exactly my 'cup of tea,' so to speak. However, there are those that even look forward to a dangerous encounter. For them, it means money in the bank and food on the table. Of course I speak of hunters. And recently one family of hunters got a lot more than they bargained for on a recent excursion--a record breaking gator!

Mississipi natives, Beth Hammel and her family, caught and killed a 727 pound alligator. According to the ABC report, it took longer to load get it out of the water than anything else. But at 727 pounds, I'm guessing there will be lots of food, wallets and other accessories.
