My heart has been broken for Maggie Rudnicki, the 4 year-old baby girl from our tiny little town of Levant, who is battling a rare blood disorder called 'Diamond Black Fan Anemia.' I first met Maggie when she was just a few months old. I was asked if I would do a broadcast from a blood drive that was organized in her honor. I jumped at the chance to help out. I remember getting the chance to hold her, kissing her sweet little head, and whispering a prayer in her ear. Unfortunately, after a few years, she's not out of the woods yet. But there's always hope.

I was also touched by the story that told of her big brother, Lucas, who offered up his own bone marrow so his little sister wouldn't cry from the pain of the needles and transfusions. Lucas is my new hero.

And when I heard that Maggie is very sad because of the treatments has caused her hair to fall out, I wanted to do something to show love and support--I shaved my head.

Like many have stated before, 'It's only hair, it will grow back.' But I wanted to take one step further and share a video with Maggie and her family, and on Wednesday of this week, I'll broadcast from a location that's yet to be determined, giving you a chance to make a small donation to help Maggie and her family.

You can only imagine what they've all been through. I sure hope you'll help out.

Here's the video:
