Scott and I agreed to dress in costume on Friday to celebrate Halloween. I spent a lot of time on my costume and, as you'll see, Scott got some extra sleep!

I've always loved dressing up for Halloween. I mean, what's not to love about picking out funky clothes, putting on make-up, and pretending to be someone else for a while? So when Scott mentioned dressing up this year, I was all for it! I debated for a few days about who I wanted to be. Clowns have always been a personal favorite, so I decided to go with that.

I got up at 3 a.m. and had some coffee before getting dressed. I started with the clothes. I'd bought the dress at Goodwill the day before and paired it up with some Minion pajama pants. Then it was time to tackle the hair and make-up. It turned out the 'clown white' wasn't as thick as I would have liked, but it didn't turn out too bad. Especially since I started it at 4 a.m!

Scott had a much simpler plan. Orange shirt and hat, black pants and sunglasses. What is he? A pumpkin! Pretty clever, if you ask me. AND he got more sleep!

I've included pictures of some of my past costumes. I was 28 when my then-boyfriend and I dressed up as Vampire Bikers. Why bikers? Because we were wearing leather jackets! I loved the Cher-length wig! The Zombie was last year when J.R. and I dressed up as characters from 'The Walking Dead.' And the other clown wasn't Halloween at all, but was a promotional gig for my then-boyfriend's store in New Jersey. I stood by the side of the road in that costume and tried to get people to pull in. The sneakers were size 17. If I curled my toes, I could lift my foot in and out of them while they were laced.
