We had a lot of fun this morning on the Q-106.5 Morning Show, including announcing three raffle winners, talking to a woman who listens overseas, and getting a delicious tribute to the career of Big Papi!

Monday mornings aren't always exciting on the Q-106.5 Morning Show. I mean, Scott and I are like everyone else, struggling to wake up and get our mojo going after a couple of days away from the studio. But this morning's show had plenty of highlights and surprises that kept the conversation lively.

It started with a phone call from a lady who told Scott that she listens in Germany. Wow! She said that she's learning how to speak English and listens to the Q-106.5 morning show as a way to hear the language. I'm not sure Scott and I are the best people to copy, but we're sure honored to have her along each morning. And thrilled that she reached out to us!

A little later, Greg from Orrington Fire and Rescue showed up with the entry tickets from the organization's big gun raffle. Each day in October, we'll have a winner of a firearm from Orrington Fire & Rescue! We'll announce three winners on Mondays to cover the weekends. Money from the raffle tickets that were sold throughout the month of September will benefit the efforts of Orrington Fire & Rescue.

And finally, after Greg left, he came back with donuts! (we always love getting breakfast during the Q-106.5 Morning Show!) And, boy, were we surprised when we opened the box and found a tribute to Big Papi! Obviously, Dunkin' Donuts is celebrating the amazing career of David Ortiz by decorating a donut in his honor. I'm thinking our sports-guy coworkers should probably eat that one.

If you're not waking up to the Q-106.5 Morning Show with Scott and Cindy (me!), you should be! We have lots of fun, plenty of information, and sometimes...donuts!
