Purple Pub Crawl For Alzheimer’s Walk

Folks are invited to go bar-or-restaurant hopping tonight, in support of the Walk to End Alzheimer's!

It's called the Purple Pub Crawl, and has at least nine local bars and restaurants taking part. Those businesses will feature purple drinks or specials geared toward the event that will support the Walk to End Alzheimer's.

To take part in the Pub Crawl, stop by the purple table in West Market Square tonight between 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. Volunteers will give you a list of downtown pubs and restaurants that are taking part in the fundraiser. There's even more information on the event's Facebook page.

The Walk To End Alzheimer's is coming up on Saturday, August 21st, a 2.5 mile walk that starts at Darling's Waterfront Pavilion in Bangor. All the money raised by the event helps further the care, support, and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. But, before you get ready for the walk, take a stroll around Downtown Bangor tonight in the Purple Pub Crawl!
