A man from Medford who was involved in a crash that killed a woman from Lagrange had just left an area methadone clinic before the deadly collision, according to a state prosecutor.

Tyler Creighton, 25, had just left the clinic before the Friday crash on Bennoch Road in Alton, Deputy District Attorney Alice Clifford told WABI.

Creighton is charged with driving to endanger and violating conditions of release.

Creighton was driving when his car collided with another vehicle driven by Robin Gardner, 63, at about 8 a.m. Gardner was pronounced dead at the scene.

Methadone is a drug treatment for opiate addiction.
