The Cinderella Project of Maine has moved its first prom dress giveaway of the year to Saturday, out of concern for the expected weather.

A forecast of snow and sleet for Sunday has prompted the Waldo Community Action Partners to reschedule the Cinderella Project of Maine prom dress giveaway. High School students from around the state can pick up free prom dresses on Saturday, January 19th at Gardiner Area High School. There's no charge for the dresses, other than to pay it forward in some way. Many of the young women donate the dresses back, after using them, so others can enjoy them.

The giveaway, that was originally scheduled for this Sunday, will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Obviously, getting their early will mean having a larger selection of dresses to choose from.
