An inmate at Warren who had served only three months of a two-year sentence is now charged with murder for the death of another prisoner.

34-year-old Zachary Titus is accused of killing 28-year-old Dana Bartlett in June. He was indicted for murder after Bartlett's death was ruled a homicide. Titus was serving a two-year sentence for theft, while Bartlett was serving a 16-month sentence for theft and operating after habitual revocation. Both men had started serving their sentences in March.

WABI-TV reports Bartlett's fiancee and another inmate claim he had asked to be moved from his cell on the day he died because he said he feared for his safety.
