Beer, surf, ladies and business are some of the reasons Portland, Maine made the top 10 of Men's Health Magazine's "50 Best Places to Live".

You can go from the rocky coast to the dense forest in minutes, Portland appeals to many different types of men. While the article mainly boasts activities you do in the warmer months it does mention the appeal of the closeness to some of the best skiing in the state.

The scenic views at a reasonable cost are too good to be true and present great opportunities for young entrepreneurs. From business to night life Portland has some of the best of it all. Men's Health doesn't make it clear where Portland falls in the top 10, but if it is ranked as it appears Portland comes in third behind Ventura, California and Nashville, Tennessee.
