They were awesome at our Oktobeerfest, get ready for a new album from North of Nashville.

Jay Basiner and Andrew Martelle went into The Halo studios in September. With a gang of the best session musicians in Maine, North of Nashville will have a full band sound on their next album. It's being called a greatest hits album as the duo prepares for the next chapter in their musical careers.

Basiner will soon be moving to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue more songwriting opportunities. No worries though, North of Nashville will continue on. Before the move Basiner and Martelle wanted to create a 'time piece defining the very best of what [the] band has to offer.'

A Kickstarter page was started to help raise the funds to create and distribute the album once it's complete. The page went on to raise more than what Basiner and Martelle had as a goal. Fans pledged money for signed copies of the completed album, to tickets to their final Maine show last weekend in Portland.

You can expect STRIKE UP THE BAND: The Best of North of Nashville in stores and online in December.
